Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ok Ko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Pembelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pembelton has chosen Hail Mary by Tupac as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Frank Pembelton has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ok Ko's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ok Ko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Pembelton!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Ko lands.
Ko throws a leg kick but Pembelton moved away.
Pembelton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ko.
Ko wants to slow Pembelton down by chopping away at his legs.
Ko throws an overhand right that lands on Pembelton's shoulder, as Pembelton tries to avoid the shot.
Pembelton just misses with a punch to the body.

Pembelton gets a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Pembelton content to control rather than advance.
Ko is looking to escape.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Pembelton wants to free his trapped foot but Ko is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Ko is looking for a sweep. Pembelton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Pembelton is trying to work for a kimura but Ko is defending well.

Ko pushes Pembelton off looking to stand but Pembelton dives back in and keeps control.

Ko has hold of Pembelton's hands but Pembelton slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Pembelton is thwarting Ko's attempts to control the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ko is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pembelton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pembelton on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Pembelton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ko swivels and escapes.
Pembelton takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Pembelton thows a body shot but no joy.
Ko throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ko is looking to clinch but Pembelton is avoiding it.
Pembelton throws the left hand but Ko avoids the punch easily.
Pembelton shoots in for a takedown but Ko shows good takedown defense.
Pembelton needs to keep his hands up - Ko had a free shot at his head there.
Pembelton misses with a wild body shot.
Ko fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pembelton on the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ko misses with a two punch combination.
Ko defending well as Pembelton loads up on a big left hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ko staying out of range there.
Ko looks to land a combination. Pembelton sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Ko is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Pembelton takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Ko doesn't manage to clinch there - Pembelton circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Frank Pembelton will probably get the nod.

Pembelton is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Ko rather than just go for the knockout.

Ko pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pembelton back to the ropes. Ko follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Pembelton fails with the takedown.

Pembelton gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Ko leaves Pembelton with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Pembelton has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ko after a bit of a struggle.

Pembelton wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ko has him pressed against the ropes.

The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Pembelton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ok Ko dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Pembelton staying out of range there.
Ko thows a body shot but no joy.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ko. Pembelton does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pembelton scores with a jab to the jaw.
Ok Ko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pembelton takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Pembelton gets tackled into the ropes by Ko. Ko maintains the clinch.
Ko is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Ko connects with a knee to the head.
Pembelton tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A nice left hand lands by Ko.
Pembelton changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ko fights it off and pushes away nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ko is trying to maintain the position but Pembelton is very close to passing his half guard.

Ko tries to bench press Pembelton off him but Pembelton keeps the position.
