The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Nastula counters with a flying knee that drops Castro!

Castro has his feet on Nastula 's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Castro fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nastula sprawls well initially but Castro persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Castro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nastula keeps working.

Castro wants to work for an arm triangle but Nastula is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Castro has hold of Nastula 's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nastula manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Nastula is in a horrible position here. Castro smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
