The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brookins keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Brookins looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A left lands for Parr.
Brookins has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Parr finds it's way round the side to connect with Brookins's head.
Parr throws a series of punches but Brookins moves out of range.
Tooks Parr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Parr lands with an uppercut that bounces Brookins off the cage and back into range.
Parr throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Brookins shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Brookins wants to pass the guard but Parr is defending well.
Parr has a hand on Brookins's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Brookins takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
