Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Halladay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luisito Pallagud!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pallagud stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pallagud wants it to stay on the feet.
Halladay lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Pallagud is trying to stand back up but Halladay is controlling him
Halladay wants to control but Pallagud is keeping him busy.
Halladay wants to pass the guard but Pallagud is defending well.

Pallagud is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Halladay has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pallagud has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Halladay can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pallagud wants to get back to his feet but Halladay is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Pallagud really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Halladay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Halladay passes Pallagud's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Pallagud wants to get back to full guard.
Halladay seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pallagud does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Pallagud is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Halladay is looking to take a break and control but Pallagud is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pallagud shoots in looking for a takedown but Halladay manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pallagud's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Luisito Pallagud is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pallagud closes the distance and clinches up with Halladay, looking for a takedown. Pallagud pushes Halladay against the cage but Halladay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jon Halladay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luisito Pallagud.
Pallagud defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Halladay.
Halladay throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pallagud's waist but Pallagud gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Halladay off to one side.

Halladay has his foot on Pallagud's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pallagud works his way back into a safe position though.

Jon Halladay overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Halladay is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Halladay has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Pallagud defend it? Halladay steps over the head and cranks it - Pallagud is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Halladay!
