Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Klein East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthieu Benoit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). East comes to the cage accompanied by Cold as Ice- M.O.P.. Matthieu Benoit acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Klein East!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 2, fighting out of New York, Matthieu Benoit!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
East defending well as Benoit loads up on a big left hand.
Benoit shoots in looking for a takedown. East tries to sprawl out of it but Benoit keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. East manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Benoit throws a looping overhand right but East ducks down to avoid it.
East misses with a low kick as Benoit jumps back.
East takes a swing at Benoit's ribcage but misses.
Benoit misses with a body kick.
East displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Benoit throws out the jab.

Benoit tries to close the distance and clinch but East swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Benoit stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from East.

East works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Benoit takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

East tries to work over Benoit's front leg with a kick but Benoit checks it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Benoit has managed to clinch.
Benoit tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
East fails to pull guard.
Benoit tried to land a shot to the body but connects with East's elbow.

A close round but Matthieu Benoit will probably get the nod.

East wants to pass the guard but Benoit is keeping the position.
Benoit is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Benoit is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Benoit wants to free his trapped foot but East is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Benoit seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but East does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Benoit is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But East has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from East!
Matthieu Benoit is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Benoit manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. East manages to get himself to full guard.

Well Benoit has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
