Da Guia closes the distance and clinches.
Da Guia breaks the clinch.
Meogy misses with a takedown attempt - Da Guia sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Meogy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Meogy works his way into full mount!
Meogy looking to secure an arm triangle but Da Guia defends it well.
Meogy with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Meogy goes for an armbar but Da Guia turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Da Guia.
Da Guia looking to sit in guard and control but Meogy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Meogy prevents Da Guia from getting back to his feet.

Meogy controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Meogy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Meogy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Meogy wants to control from the top but Da Guia keeps moving.

Meogy slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Da Guia stops Meogy from passing to mount.
Meogy has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Da Guia is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Meogy yanks on the arm and Da Guia is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Meogy.
