Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doug Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Chaney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Graves's entrance music is Alvarez. A fine choice. Ivan Chaney is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Doug Graves!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ivan Chaney!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaney throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Chaney lands with an overhand left.
Chaney shoots in but no luck this time.
Chaney takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Graves tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chaney paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Graves clinches up with Chaney and pushes him back against the cage.
Chaney lands a shoulder strike.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Graves takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Graves throws a knee to the head but misses.
Chaney wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Chaney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chaney ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Chaney thows a left - swing and a miss!
Graves lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Chaney displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.


It looks like Doug Graves has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chaney lands with an uppercut that bounces Graves off the cage and back into range.
Sloppy strikes from Chaney. Those never looked like landing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Graves rushes Chaney and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Graves tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Chaney takes a knee right on the jaw!


It looks like Ivan Chaney has been cut.
Graves connects with a knee to the head.
Chaney wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Chaney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A big right from Graves misses.
Graves ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Graves lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Chaney has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Chaney and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Graves loads up on a big right hand but Chaney slips the punch.
Graves connects with a crisp jab.
Graves defending well as Chaney loads up on a big left hand.
Graves walks forward, straight into a front kick from Chaney.
Chaney drops his hands momentarily and Graves takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Graves throws a jab but it's blocked by Chaney.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Graves misses with a wild body shot.
Graves's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chaney under the eye.


Chaney is rocked!
Doug Graves is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chaney throws a lazy body kick
and Graves counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Chaney is still on wobbly legs! Can Graves finish him?
Graves misses with an uppercut. Chaney saw that one coming.
Chaney misses with a kick to the body.
Chaney thows a body shot but no joy.
Graves dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Chaney seems to have recovered his senses.
Chaney looks gassed!
Graves pounces like a tiger and cracks Chaney with a vicious hook! Chaney is down but not out! Graves follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Doug Graves!
Doug Graves retains his light heavyweight title!
Doug Graves decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
