PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nemanja Prijovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ong Bak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bak is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by One Night In Bangkok. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ong Bak!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bak swinging wildly here.
Bak tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Prijovic swings for the body but Bak moves out of range.
Bak misses with a low kick as Prijovic jumps back.
Bak shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Prijovic as he jumps to the side.
Bak throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ong Bak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Prijovic gets a clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Prijovic for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Bak.
Bak blocks an uppercut.
Bak tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Prijovic smiles and moves away.

Bak misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bak tries to bum rush Prijovic with a series of wild strikes but Prijovic uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Prijovic creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Bak tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Prijovic's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Prijovic creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Bak's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Bak drops to his knees and Prijovic pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

A less than humble Nemanja Prijovic misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
