The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carol fails with an attempt to clinch.
Carol looks to land a combination but Rua avoids it well.
Rua shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carol pinned against the cage. Carol gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Carol darts in and clinches Rua up against the cage.

Rua breaks from the clinch.
Carol throws a looping overhand right but Rua ducks down to avoid it.
Nice sprawl there from Carol as Rua shoots in.
Carol misses with a double jab

and Rua counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Rua tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Carol tries to improve his position but Rua has taken his back! Rua has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Carol tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Rua pushes Carol away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
