Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ong Bak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Blaize (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ong Bak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, TJ Blaize!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bak tries to clinch up

and Blaize counters by moving into the clinch.
Bak trying to control the position but instead, Blaize has worked for underhooks and has pushed Bak into the cage.

Blaize breaks from the clinch.
Blaize misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Bak gets tackled into the cage by Blaize. Blaize maintains the clinch.
Bak has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Blaize avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Blaize is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bak gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Blaize blocks an uppercut.
Bak is looking to control Blaize's arms but Blaize gets an underhook and turns him. Now Bak has his back to the cage.

Blaize pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Blaize misses with a wild combination.
Blaize throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bak's waist but Bak gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blaize off to one side.
Ong Bak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of TJ Blaize.

Bak looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blaize is fending him off so far but Bak persists. Nope, Blaize circles away and we're back to standing.
Blaize shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bak sprawls well. Bak wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Blaize gets slowly back to his feet.
Bak changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blaize tries to avoid it but Bak manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blaize to the ground. Blaize escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Blaize is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bak sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blaize keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Bak shoots for a takedown but Blaize saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Blaize gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bak takes an elbow to the temple.
Blaize drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bak gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Blaize's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Blaize looks gassed!
Blaize swats away the attempt to clinch by Bak.
Blaize blocks the body kick.

Blaize keeps the fight on the outside.
Bak tries to clinch up

and Blaize counters by moving into the clinch.
Blaize lands an elbow inside.
Bak is trying to break free.
Bak is pressed up against the cage. Blaize has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bak down to the mat. Bak avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bak fails with the takedown.
Blaize avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Blaize has Bak up against the cage in a clinch.

Nice elbow from Blaize.
Blaize scores with a knee to the head.
Bak is trying to stall.
Blaize has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bak after a bit of a struggle.

Bak fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Blaize avoids it really well and circles away.

Blaize changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bak tries to avoid it but Blaize manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bak to the ground. Bak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bak moves to clinch but Blaize breaks away

and Blaize counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Bak goes for a takedown attempt but Blaize pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bak fails with a takedown attempt.
Blaize throws a one two combo.

Blaize moves into range and clinches up with Bak.

Blaize manages to pull guard.
Bak would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bak won't allow Blaize to sweep him here.

Bak got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blaize has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bak has managed to get both his arms back between Blaize's legs - danger averted.
Blaize is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bak wants to get back to full guard but Blaize has mounted him!

Blaize is working for a guillotine from mount but Bak frees his head quite easily.
Blaize misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Blaize tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blaize thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Blaize with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Bak is looking to improve his position but Blaize isn't that keen on the idea.

TJ Blaize showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Blaize comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ong Bak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Blaize shoots in for a takedown but Bak shows good takedown defense.
Bak misses with a hook to the body

and Blaize counters by moving into the clinch.

Blaize jumps guard and drags Bak to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Blaize striking off his back but it's not causing Bak any problems.
Bak looking to sit in guard and control but Blaize gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Blaize stands and throws Bak's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The strikes coming from Blaize are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Bak is letting Blaize control him for a moment.

Blaize decides to stand back up.
Blaize shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bak but Bak pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bak fails with a takedown attempt.
Bak stuffs the takedown attempt from Blaize. Blaize gets slowly back to his feet.
Ong Bak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of TJ Blaize.
Bak doesn't manage to clinch there - Blaize circles away.

Bak shoots in and drives through. Blaize sprawls well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bak misses with a series of wild punches.

Blaize clinches.
Blaize goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bak prevents it.

Blaize manages to pull guard.

Blaize looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Blaize pulls Bak in close to his closed guard and prevents Bak from doing any damage or advancing position.

Blaize is adopting a defensive guard.
Bak looking to sit in guard and control but Blaize gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref stands the fighters back up. TJ Blaize was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Ong Bak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
TJ Blaize is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Blaize takes a body punch but keeps moving.

TJ Blaize comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Blaize has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
