Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junko Hatoru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshiro Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takeshi has chosen All That Remains - Chiron as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Junko Hatoru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshiro Takeshi!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Hatoru misses.

Takeshi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Hatoru is trying to pull guard but Takeshi turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.

Hatoru turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hatoru manages to end up in side control.
Takeshi wants to control but Hatoru postures up.
Takeshi manages to get back to half guard.
Hatoru tries to stand but can't do so whilst Takeshi controls his leg.

Hatoru seems to be working for a kimura but Takeshi defends the submission attempt.

Hatoru tries to pass the half guard into mount. Takeshi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Takeshi is holding on to half guard well.
Hatoru throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Takeshi to regain full guard.
Hatoru has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hatoru loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Takeshi is looking for a triangle but Hatoru pushes his legs off easily.
Takeshi trying to keep a closed guard but Hatoru is proving a slippery customer.

Takeshi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Takeshi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hatoru trying to control but Takeshi is working from the bottom.

Hatoru decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Junko Hatoru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Takeshi.
Hatoru pushes Takeshi away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Takeshi gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Takeshi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hatoru knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

A close round but Yoshiro Takeshi will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Takeshi keeps the fight on the outside.
Takeshi closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Takeshi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hatoru's waist but Hatoru gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Takeshi off to one side.
Hatoru pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Takeshi ducks under a wild hook from Hatoru.
Takeshi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hatoru is looking to clinch but Takeshi is avoiding it.

Takeshi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hatoru to the ground. Takeshi is now in Hatoru's guard.

Hatoru has his feet on Takeshi's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hatoru drives through with a takedown into guard.

Takeshi keeping moving, preventing Hatoru from controlling successfully.

Takeshi is looking for a triangle but Hatoru pushes his legs off easily.
Yoshiro Takeshi has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hatoru wants to get up but he can't break Takeshi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Takeshi is working an open guard so Hatoru takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Hatoru breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hatoru fails in his attempt to clinch.

and Takeshi moves into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hatoru breaks from the clinch.
Hatoru looks to land a left hand but Takeshi moved out of range nicely.

Takeshi looks for a takedown but Hatoru sprawls well.
Junko Hatoru has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoshiro Takeshi.

and Hatoru counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Hatoru postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Takeshi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hatoru, into his guard.

Takeshi stands up from Hatoru's guard - Takeshi perhaps looking for a knockout.
Takeshi tries to move into range but Hatoru moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Hatoru closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Takeshi's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hatoru wants to get up but he can't break Takeshi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hatoru postures up in Takeshi's guard and throws a big left but Takeshi blocks it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Takeshi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Takeshi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hatoru keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Junko Hatoru dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Sloppy strikes from Hatoru. Those never looked like landing.

Hatoru closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Takeshi is controlling Hatoru's trapped leg to prevent Hatoru from advancing to side control.
Takeshi is pressing down on Hatoru's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Takeshi is trying to keep Hatoru in close.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Takeshi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Hatoru controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Hatoru trying to stand up but can't free himself from Takeshi's guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Yoshiro Takeshi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hatoru fails to land with a series of punches.

Takeshi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hatoru, pushing him back against the ropes.
Hatoru wants a takedown.

Takeshi has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hatoru clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Hatoru trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Hatoru is trying to stand back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hatoru trying to control the position but Takeshi manages to sink in the hooks.
Takeshi trying to control.
Takeshi throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Hatoru!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Takeshi controls the position.
Let's hope that Takeshi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Takeshi is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hatoru is defending well though. Takeshi let's go of the attempt for now.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Takeshi's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Takeshi might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hatoru kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

And that's the end of the fight!
Yoshiro Takeshi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Takeshi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Yoshiro Takeshi decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
