Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel LaRusso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Szczerek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Szczerek has chosen Sobota feat. chór Montu - Do góry łeb as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szczerek keeps the fight on the outside.
Szczerek fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but LaRusso avoids it really well and circles away.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from LaRusso.

LaRusso pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
LaRusso throws out a loose jab but Szczerek uses good head movement to avoid it.

Szczerek is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and LaRusso defends it well.

Szczerek escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. LaRusso gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Szczerek has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but LaRusso can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


LaRusso tries to close the distance and clinch but Szczerek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

LaRusso looks to land a body kick but Szczerek moved away.
Szczerek shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as LaRusso sprawls well. LaRusso wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Szczerek gets slowly back to his feet.

LaRusso feints a jab promting Szczerek to slip. LaRusso then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Szczerek slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Szczerek shoots in and bounces LaRusso off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Szczerek is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so LaRusso is just riding it out for now. Szczerek eventually gives up the hold.

Szczerek tries to pass the half guard into mount. LaRusso knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
LaRusso is trying to escape back to his feet but Szczerek uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Szczerek wants to lay and pray for a moment but LaRusso keeps working.

Szczerek postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Szczerek is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but LaRusso is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Szczerek misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
