Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thor Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Dale Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammer's entrance music is Amon Amarth - The Pursuit of Vikings. A fine choice. Ricky Dale Johnson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thor Hammer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ricky Dale Johnson! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson checks a leg kick. Hammer tries a low kick but Johnson avoids it. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hammer is looking to clinch. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hammer slaps away a takedown attempt from Johnson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Thor Hammer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Dale Johnson. Johnson shoots in for a double leg but Hammer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Johnson drives through with a takedown into guard. Johnson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Hammer wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hammer looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Johnson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Johnson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Hammer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ricky Dale Johnson. Hammer tries a head kick but it misses.
Johnson gets the takedown into side control. Hammer tries to escape but Johnson is in control. Hammer can't do much from the bottom here. Hammer is trying to improve his position. Johnson happy to just control the position for now. Hammer is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson controlling the position. Hammer wants to control but Johnson postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson staying calm.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hammer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hammer checks a leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hammer misses with a body kick. Johnson fails with the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammer is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Hammer circles away easily and Johnson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hammer has taken the fight to the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hammer creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Hammer misses with some punches.

Hammer lands with a left to the head. Hammer is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hammer down to the mat. Hammer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hammer's half guard. Hammer is looking to control Johnson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hammer avoid being mounted? Johnson wants to control but Hammer is keeping him busy. Johnson stalling. Hammer throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hammer clinches up with Johnson and pushes him back against the cage. Hammer lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Thor Hammer will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Johnson is working for takedown but Hammer is calmly controlling the position for now. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Hammer. Johnson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hammer is defending well. Johnson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Johnson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hammer to keep the fight standing. Johnson is looking for a takedown. Johnson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Johnson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hammer pulls him back up using the underhooks. Johnson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hammer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johnson is working away from the top position though. Johnson prevents Hammer from standing back up.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hammer trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammer wants to hold on but Johnson pushes him away. Ricky Dale Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far. Johnson prevents Hammer from getting the reversal. Johnson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hammer tries to hold on but Johnson pushes him away. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Hammer wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Johnson is riding his opponent, not letting Hammer buck him off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammer is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Hammer is trying to stand back up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hammer is trying to defend against the choke here but Johnson has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Johnson Tightens the hold and Hammer taps out furiously! Johnson displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
