Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Piter FM!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Keith Larkin!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larkin misses with a body shot.
Larkin doesn't manage to clinch there - FM circles away.
Larkin darts in trying to clinch
and FM counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Larkin tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and FM holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
FM blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

FM pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

FM pushes Larkin up against the cage in a clinch.

FM breaks the clinch.
FM avoids the head kick by Larkin.

FM cracks Larkin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.


It looks like Keith Larkin has been cut.
FM circles away from the clinch attempt
letting FM counter with a right hand.
FM throws a left and a right that both miss
and Larkin counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Larkin closes the distance looking to clinch
letting FM counter with a right hand.

enabling FM to counter with a crisp jab.
Larkin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt FM.
Keith Larkin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

FM rushes Larkin and presses him up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Larkin keeps the fight in the clinch, despite FM's efforts to push away.

FM breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Larkin doesn't manage to clinch there - FM circles away.
Larkin wants to clinch but FM slips to the side
and Larkin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Larkin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to FM's calf.

Larkin is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

FM breaks from the clinch.
FM throws a lazy right hand but Larkin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
FM thows a left - swing and a miss!
FM pivots, looking for a leg kick but Larkin is out of range and FM settles back down.
FM tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Larkin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
FM jabbing away but nothing is landing.

FM avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Larkin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Larkin tries to close the distance and clinch but FM swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and FM cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's time! FM's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Larkin tries to work over FM's front leg with a kick but FM checks it.
FM on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Larkin. Larkin obviously looking to wear him down.
Larkin wants to clinch up but FM keeps it at a distance.

Larkin closes the distance but FM moves to the side

and FM moves into the clinch.
FM wants to break the clinch but can't.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Larkin just misses with a elbow thrown towards FM's brow.
FM avoids the elbow strike from Larkin, against the cage.
Larkin creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through FM's defenses.


It looks like Piter FM has been cut.
FM blocks an elbow strike.

FM jumps into guard, dragging Larkin to the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
FM seems keen to control Larkin's posture.
Larkin wanted to stand there but FM had control of the position.
FM is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

FM postures up in Larkin's guard and throws a big left but Larkin blocks it.

Larkin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst FM is controlling him.

Larkin closes the distance looking to clinch
and FM counters with a left and a right that stings Larkin.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and FM counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by FM.
Larkin lands an elbow just above FM 's eye.
FM is trying to drag Larkin to the mat but Larkin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

FM looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Larkin creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Larkin stalling in the clinch but FM improves position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
FM has Larkin pressed against the cage.
FM dodges an elbow strike from Larkin.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Larkin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on FM, up you get!

and FM counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Larkin wants to stand up but FM is controlling him.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

FM prevents Larkin from getting back to his feet.

FM postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Larkin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of FM, into his guard.
FM wants to stand up but Larkin is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Piter FM just wasn't active enough.
Larkin wants to clinch up but FM keeps it at a distance.
A chopping leg kick lands by Larkin.
Keith Larkin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
FM tries to clinch but Larkin moves out of range.
FM is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
FM is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Larkin moves in looking to clinch but FM pushes him off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Piter FM showed his dominance in that final round.
Well FM has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
