Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Villar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Mastadon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Villar might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Deuces. The key to victory for Chris Villar has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mastadon takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Villar cracks Mastadon with a right hand to the side of the head.

and Villar makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Villar lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Villar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Horrible takedown by Mastadon or perhaps it was just good defense by Villar which made him look bad.
Mastadon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Villar's waist but Villar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mastadon off to one side.
Chris Villar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donald Mastadon.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
