Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jep Zlasd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Porter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Porter has chosen Vicarious by Tool as his entrance music. Jep Zlasd has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jep Zlasd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Porter!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zlasd tries a low kick but Porter avoids it.
Porter throws a head kick that misses.

Zlasd clinches with his opponent.
Zlasd misses with a knee to the head.
Porter is looking to break free of the clinch but Zlasd has double underhooks.
Zlasd tries to land a knee to the head but Porter blocks with his arms.
Porter wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Zlasd has him pressed against the cage.
Zlasd has Porter pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Porter manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Zlasd drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Porter gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Porter has had enough of the clinch but Zlasd keeps him there for the moment.
Zlasd prevents Porter from breaking the clinch.
Porter stops a takedown attempt from Zlasd.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jep Zlasd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Porter is pressed up against the cage. Zlasd has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Porter down to the mat. Porter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Zlasd feints and as Porter raises his hands in defense, Zlasd changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Porter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zlasd is one step ahead there.

Zlasd drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Zlasd jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Zlasd wants to control from the top but Porter keeps moving.

Porter working for a triangle but Zlasd defends it easily.

Zlasd drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Porter dives on top into guard.
Zlasd is breathing heavily.

Zlasd is looking for a triangle but Porter pushes his legs off easily.
Porter wants to control from the top but Zlasd keeps moving.

Zlasd working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Porter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Porter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Porter is stalling in the full guard.

Zlasd escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Porter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Porter advances position into side control!
Zlasd sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Zlasd is pressing down on Porter's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Zlasd looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Zlasd working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Porter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Porter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Zlasd wants to sweep here but Porter controlling him for the moment.
Zlasd controls Porter momentarily but Porter frees himself.

Zlasd is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Zlasd has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Porter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Zlasd is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Zlasd is working hard here to advance position.

Porter gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Jep Zlasd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Porter swats away the attempt to clinch by Zlasd.
Porter lands with a right hand.
Porter buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Porter tries to keep at a distance but Zlasd has taken the fight into the clinch.
Zlasd tries to score a body lock takedown but Porter shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Zlasd drops down looking for an ankle pick but Porter pulls his leg out and moves away.
Zlasd tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Porter paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Porter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Daniel Porter will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Porter lands with a thumping leg kick.
Zlasd attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Porter misses with a head kick.
Zlasd blocks a head kick by Porter.

Zlasd gets a clinch.

Porter manages to break the clinch.

Zlasd closes the distance and clinches.
Zlasd tries for a takedown but Porter manages to get underhooks.
Zlasd is working for takedown but Porter is calmly controlling the position for now.

Zlasd turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Porter struggling a bit here.
Porter might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Zlasd kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Zlasd goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Porter rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Zlasd's guard! Nice work there by Porter!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zlasd is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Zlasd has his foot on Porter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Porter works his way back into a safe position though.

Zlasd bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Porter's guard.

Zlasd drops back, looking for a kneebar! Porter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Porter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Porter!
Zlasd tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Porter stands up.
Zlasd throws a quick inside leg kick.

Zlasd tries a low kick but Porter avoids it.
Zlasd looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Porter is fending him off so far but Zlasd persists. Nope, Porter circles away and we're back to standing.

Porter lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Zlasd backs up against the cage.
Zlasd fails with the takedown.
Porter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zlasd.

Porter misses with a kick to the body.
Zlasd bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Porter's head backwards.
Zlasd misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Porter lands with a hook. Zlasd tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Zlasd misses with a leg kick.

Zlasd closes the distance and clinches.
Porter stops a takedown attempt from Zlasd.
Zlasd is working for takedown but Porter is calmly controlling the position for now.

Zlasd gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Porter regains guard.
Zlasd passes into half guard.

Porter is refusing to be controlled, as Zlasd sits in half guard.

Zlasd is looking for a kimura but Porter is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Zlasd to get the leverage.

Zlasd is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Porter is just riding it out for now. Zlasd eventually gives up the hold.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Porter swats away the attempt to clinch by Zlasd.
Porter throws a wild body kick that Zlasd sees coming a mile off.
Porter blocks a head kick by Zlasd.
Zlasd misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Porter.
Zlasd throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Porter's head.
Porter misses with a few strikes there.

and Porter counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Porter connects with a good right hand that stumbles Zlasd. Zlasd circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Porter tries a head kick but it misses.
Daniel Porter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Zlasd lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Zlasd blocks a jab.
Zlasd shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Porter as he jumps to the side.
Porter looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Zlasd tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Porter paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Porter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Porter feints and then cracks Zlasd's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Zlasd down.
Zlasd tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Porter swivels and escapes.
Porter ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Porter throws a wild body kick that Zlasd sees coming a mile off.
Zlasd is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Zlasd tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Porter throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Porter throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
A clash of legs there as Porter blocks the low kick.
Zlasd has a takedown stuffed.
Porter throws a head kick that misses.
Zlasd pulls out of a head kick attempt.
An inside leg kick lands from Porter.
A chopping leg kick lands by Porter.
Daniel Porter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Porter counters with a straight right hand.

The fight stays on the outside here - Zlasd looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Daniel Porter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Porter has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
