Sato comes into the arena with Call to prayer of islam blaring out of the sound system. Anderson has chosen RAWR as his entrance music. Rumina Sato could well score a knockout today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Sato. No joy for Anderson on that attempt.
Anderson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Marc Anderson has been cut.
Sato fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Anderson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

A left and a right from Sato both land. Nice combination.
Sato lands a leg kick that knocks Anderson off balance momentarily.
Sato throws a head kick but Anderson moves out of range.
Anderson seems to have recovered his senses.
Anderson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Sato.
Anderson has a takedown stuffed.
Anderson slips a straight right by Sato.

A solid leg kick lands there for Sato.

Sato lands a big head kick that sends Anderson tumbling to the mat! Sato takes a step backwards and waves Anderson back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rumina Sato is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sato keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rumina Sato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Anderson.
Sato misses with a head kick.
Anderson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sato is fending him off so far but Anderson persists. Nope, Sato circles away and we're back to standing.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sato.
Anderson throws a looping overhand right but Sato ducks down to avoid it.
Sato cracks Anderson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sato getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Sato lands with a kick to the ribs.
Sato pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Oooooh!!! Sato has knocked Anderson down with a huge combo! Sato steps away and waves a wobbly Anderson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Sato throws a leg kick which misses Anderson's front leg but catches the back leg as Anderson tries to avoid it.
Anderson is trying desperately to land a takedown but Sato is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Anderson.
Anderson looks gassed!
Anderson walks straight into a right hand from Sato - that's dropped him! Sato jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Anderson from any more punishment! Anderson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Rumina Sato!
