Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Asaki Hioko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esko Takanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hioko connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hioko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Takanen manages to avoid it.
Hioko tries to keep at a distance but Takanen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Takanen's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The crowd are getting on Takanen's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Takanen in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
