Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Breaking Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lampaan Kampaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Breaking Bones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lampaan Kampaaja!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kampaaja misses with a low kick as Bones jumps back.

Bones moves into the clinch.
Bones misses with some punches.

Kampaaja breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bones doesn't manage to clinch there - Kampaaja circles away.
Kampaaja misses with an uppercut

and Bones counters by clinching up.
Kampaaja misses with a punch on the inside.
Kampaaja tries to work over Bones's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Kampaaja tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Kampaaja is trying to push Bones away but Bones has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kampaaja tries to throw a body punch but Bones avoids it by throwing Kampaaja back against the cage.
Kampaaja can't find room to land a body shot as Bones controls the action.
Kampaaja tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

A bit of stalling here from Bones.

Kampaaja manages to break the clinch.
Kampaaja connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bones's hands.
Nice defenses there by Bones.
Kampaaja lunges at Bones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bones's hand.


It looks like Breaking Bones has been cut.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bones postures up.
Kampaaja really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bones is standing up over Kampaaja. Kampaaja looks to escape but Bones dives into side control.
Kampaaja tries to buck Bones off but Bones is having none of it.
Kampaaja is trying to control Bones's posture but Bones avoids it.
Kampaaja is looking to regain half guard here but Bones keeps moving and retains side control.

Bones cracks Kampaaja with a big right hand but Kampaaja just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Bones postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kampaaja can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kampaaja wants to get back to his feet but Bones is dominant here and he's now got Kampaaja's back!
Kampaaja looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Bones has the hooks in. Kampaaja is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Bones has Kampaaja flattened out and is raining down punches.
Bones is riding his opponent, not letting Kampaaja buck him off.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bones lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Bones.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Bones controlling the positon.
Will Bones go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A close round but Lampaan Kampaaja will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Bones counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kampaaja's guard now.

Kampaaja wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kampaaja is trying to control the position but Bones postures up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kampaaja throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bones sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kampaaja misses with a left hand
and Bones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Bones counters by moving into the clinch.

Bones avoiding damage as Kampaaja throws knees to the body.
Bones tries for a takedown. No joy.
Bones scores with a hook to the body.
Kampaaja tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Bones's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Bones gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kampaaja regains guard.
Bones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kampaaja is trying to maintain the position but Bones is very close to passing his half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bones is taking a breather. Kampaaja says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Bones scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Bones frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Bones postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kampaaja looks a forlorn figure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Breaking Bones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lampaan Kampaaja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kampaaja gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bones to score an easy takedown into full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
