The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyaguchi shoots in looking for a takedown. Carter tries to sprawl out of it but Miyaguchi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Carter misses with a wild body shot.
Sue Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miyaguchi throws a body punch but Carter moves out of range.
Carter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Miyaguchi circles away quickly and effectively.
Carter takes one to the chin there.
Miyaguchi sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Carter to the ground! Miyaguchi dives into full mount looking to finish!
It looks like Sue Carter has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Miyaguchi lands a big elbow - Carter is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Carter is forced to tap out!
