We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnsson can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Johnsson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Georgsen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Johnsson.
Georgsen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Georgsen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnsson moves away.
Georgsen shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnsson sprawls well. He's pushed Georgsen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Georgsen.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Johnsson throws a hook to the side of Georgsen's head but Georgsen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Georgsen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Johnsson tries to buck Georgsen off but Georgsen is having none of it.
Johnsson wants to control but Georgsen postures up.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Joni Johnsson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Georgsen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnsson pinned against the cage. Johnsson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Georgsen closes the distance and clinches up with Johnsson, looking for a takedown. Georgsen pushes Johnsson against the cage but Johnsson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Johnsson lands the left hand.
Johnsson throws a lazy uppercut
and Georgsen counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Johnsson lands a big right hand that sends Georgsen crashing to the mat! Johnsson stays standing though and waves Georgsen back to his feet!
Georgsen is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Crack! A monster head kick from Johnsson and Georgsen falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Johnsson!
