Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Barbossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murtagh Hawke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawke has chosen Sleep Now In The Fire as his entrance music. Jake Barbossa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawke shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Barbossa but Barbossa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hawke shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barbossa as he avoids it easily.

Barbossa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hawke to the mat! Hawke manages to get full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hawke keeping moving, preventing Barbossa from controlling successfully.
Barbossa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hawke swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Barbossa slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Barbossa is looking to take a break and control but Hawke is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hawke is trying to improve his position.
Barbossa works to advance to full mount. Hawke defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Barbossa is working for a guillotine from mount but Hawke frees his head quite easily.
Hawke tries to reverse the position but Barbossa maintains control.
Barbossa throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Barbossa has control of Hawke's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hawke regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hawke holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Barbossa tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Barbossa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Barbossa stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Barbossa clobbers Hawke with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hawke shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Barbossa can't escape the position.
Barbossa manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Barbossa is trying to escape back to his feet but Hawke uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Hawke lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Barbossa manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Barbossa wants to control but Hawke is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Hawke thows a huge punch but Barbossa dodges it nicely.

Barbossa has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Hawke. Oh but Barbossa has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Hawke goes limp - he's gone! Barbossa jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
