Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocco Falco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christoph Stenner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stenner is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Escapado - Freiraum. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rocco Falco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christoph Stenner!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stenner throws a right and a left that both miss.
Stenner throws a series of punches but Falco moves out of range.
Falco fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Danga de danga de dang - Stenner scores with a four punch combination!


It looks like Rocco Falco has been cut.

Stenner has closed the distance and engaged Falco in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stenner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Stenner throws a nice looking combination but Falco bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Falco throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Falco looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Falco postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Stenner wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Falco manages to pass to side control.
Falco missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Falco is nestled in close to Stenner, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Well, if Falco is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Falco lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Falco takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Falco is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stenner can do anything to dispel that myth.
Falco is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Falco thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stenner's head.
Falco has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Falco has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stenner avoids a series of strikes thrown by Falco.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Stenner wants to try and get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Falco unloads with some shots from mount but Stenner bucks and avoids them well.
You get the feeling that Stenner really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The referee warns Stenner that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


It looks like Christoph Stenner has been cut.
Falco looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Christoph Stenner's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
