Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Maddox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Savage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 2, fighting out of New York, Ken Maddox!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maddox is fending him off so far but Savage persists. Nope, Maddox circles away and we're back to standing.
Maddox shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Savage sprawls well. Savage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Maddox gets slowly back to his feet.

Maddox shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Savage is trying to defend but Maddox finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Maddox is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Savage reverses the position - he's now on top in Maddox's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maddox has control of Savage's left arm, preventing Savage from doing any damage.
Savage wants to pass the guard but Maddox is keeping the position.

Maddox closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Savage's guard.
Maddox throws a strike but Savage rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Savage is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Savage postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Maddox is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Savage, into his guard.

Savage has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maddox can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Maddox cracks Savage with a solid left hand.
Savage keeping moving, preventing Maddox from controlling successfully.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Savage throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ken Maddox will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Maddox shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Savage throws a hook but Maddox blocks it.

Ken Maddox is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Maddox changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Savage tries to avoid it but Maddox manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Savage to the ground. Savage escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Savage is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Maddox's half guard.

Savage escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Maddox gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Maddox has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Savage regains guard immediately.

Savage looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Maddox shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Savage as he avoids it easily.

Maddox closes the distance and clinches up with Savage, looking for a takedown. Maddox pushes Savage against the cage but Savage circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Maddox stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Savage.
Maddox shoots in looking for a takedown. Savage tries to sprawl out of it but Maddox keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Savage manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Savage.
Savage throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Maddox drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Maddox grinds an elbow into Savage's temple.
The ground and pound from Maddox seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Ken Maddox comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Maddox winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
