Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quentin Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Zhirinovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zhirinovsky has chosen Zhirinovsky and Serega - Murka as his entrance music. Vladimir Zhirinovsky will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Zhirinovsky! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Costa misses with a wild body shot. Zhirinovsky bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Costa is trying to improve his position. Costa sneaks back into half guard. Costa on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Zhirinovsky content to control rather than advance. Zhirinovsky's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Costa moves into full guard.
Costa controlling the position. Zhirinovsky trying to control the position from guard on top but Costa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zhirinovsky sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Vladimir Zhirinovsky. Costa fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Costa with a poor takedown and Zhirinovsky counters with a nice double leg into side control. Costa won't be happy with that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zhirinovsky throwing shots but missing, from side control. Zhirinovsky is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Costa has escaped the position, nice work there. Costa is trying to control Zhirinovsky's posture but Zhirinovsky avoids it. Zhirinovsky is putting a hurting on Costa here, landing some big shots from side control. A lull in the action here as Zhirinovsky stalls from top position. Zhirinovsky is chipping away with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zhirinovsky is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Costa will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. This has been an exciting period of action! Zhirinovsky sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Costa is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
A lull in the action here. Costa parries the strikes from Zhirinovsky easily there. Zhirinovsky is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Costa to escape.
Zhirinovsky trying to control the action but Costa is working from the bottom. Zhirinovsky throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Costa can't do much from the bottom here. Zhirinovsky is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Costa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Zhirinovsky is trying to get an arm triangle but Costa is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zhirinovsky thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Zhirinovsky is staying tight to Costa's torso, preventing him from escaping. Zhirinovsky misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Zhirinovsky is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Costa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Zhirinovsky wants to take a breather but Costa manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Zhirinovsky.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Costa pulls Zhirinovsky in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Costa looking for a triangle here. Zhirinovsky is fighting it but it looks tight! Costa pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Zhirinovsky is tapping out - this one is all over!
