Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucio Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigues comes to the ring accompanied by Sandstorm. Lee has chosen Big Man With A Big Gun-Nine Inch Nails as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lee counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rodrigues thinking.
A big left from Lee misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lee enables Rodrigues to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lee manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Rodrigues avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Lee is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rodrigues defends well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lee can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lee working for a triangle but Rodrigues defends it easily.

Lee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rodrigues is one step ahead there.

Lee looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rodrigues passes into half guard.

Lee is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rodrigues pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Rodrigues takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Rodrigues is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Rodrigues passes the guard and advances to mount!
Lee is looking to improve his position but Rodrigues isn't that keen on the idea.

Rodrigues is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lee is surviving well by controlling Rodrigues's body position as best he can.
Lee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rodrigues. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rodrigues prevents Lee from getting the reversal.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lee wants to get back to his feet.
Rodrigues is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Rodrigues is landing with some decent strikes but Lee is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Lee sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Rodrigues seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Rodrigues has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rodrigues is working for a submission of some sort.
Lee gets back to full guard.

Lee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rodrigues doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rodrigues manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rodrigues wants to take a breather but Lee is having none of it.

Rodrigues throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Lee tries to roll over but Rodrigues keeps him under control.

Rodrigues maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Lee could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Rodrigues has cracked it and Lee is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Rodrigues!
