Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Wise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustav Reich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wise comes into the arena with Calling all Destroyers by TSAR blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dennis Wise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gustav Reich!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reich walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Wise checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Reich throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Reich throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wise misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Reich slips a straight right by Wise.
Wise looks to throw the jab but Reich is out of range.
Dennis Wise seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wise scores with a crisp jab that stopped Reich in his tracks.
Wise misses with a body shot.
Reich tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Wise manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wise swings for the body but Reich moves out of range.

Reich gets caught napping as Wise dives in and scores a takedown. Reich manages to retain guard.
Wise trying to control but Reich is working from the bottom.

Wise throwing strikes from guard but Reich blocks nicely.
Reich manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wise manages to get himself to full guard.
Wise is trying to hold Reich in close to prevent damage but Reich has managed to pass into half guard.

Reich is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wise sees it coming and defends easily.
Wise is pressing down on Reich's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Wise is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Reich works his way to full guard. Good work.
Wise has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wise throws an elbow that misses. Reich uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wise's guard. Nice move by Reich!

Wise working for a triangle but Reich defends it easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wise throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reich accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Reich throws a big elbow that misses.

Wise pushes Reich off and gets back to his feet.
Reich shoots for a double leg takedown but Wise sprawls well. He's pushed Reich's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Reich moves in looking to clinch but Wise pushes him off.

Wise throws a right hand that Reich ducks under and follows up with a left that Reich also avoids with ease.

Wise rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Reich moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Wise throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reich's waist but Reich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wise off to one side.
Wise throws a right hand that Reich ducks under and follows up with a left that Reich also avoids with ease.
No joy there for Wise, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wise cracks Reich with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Reich blocks a head kick by Wise.
Reich ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Wise throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Wise looks to throw the jab but Reich is out of range.
Reich throws a low kick but Wise avoids it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wise. Reich does a little dance to reset his feet.
Wise misses with a series of wild punches.
Reich tries to clinch up.

Reich ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Reich gets a takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Reich looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wise is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Reich's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Reich's back!
Dennis Wise overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wise is looking for the choke from the back position but Reich is controlling his hands well.

Wise is trying to stick to Reich's back but Reich is turning into Wise. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Wise's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Reich.

Wise wants to improve his position but instead Reich has moved into half guard.

Reich is working for a kimura but Wise is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Reich connects with a nice short shot to Wise's temple.

You can see the frustration on Wise's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Wise gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Reich is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wise is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wise has escaped and now he's on top!

Reich working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wise doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wise manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Wise wants to control from the top but Reich keeps moving.

Wise is trying to control the action in half guard but Reich is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Dennis Wise is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Wise is pressing down on Reich's thigh, looking to free his foot. Reich is holding on for now.
Gustav Reich has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wise has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wise goes for an armbar but Reich turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Reich.

I would just about give that final round to Gustav Reich.
Well Wise has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
