Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matteo Minonzio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jollibee Mcdonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minonzio comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Highway To Hell . I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcdonald works the jab nicely.
Mcdonald stalks Minonzio and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Minonzio's face. Minonzio staggers backwards, shaken.
Mcdonald swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Minonzio uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mcdonald.
Mcdonald connects with a nice looking jab.

Mcdonald shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Minonzio manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mcdonald postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Mcdonald keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Minonzio's head.

Mcdonald throws an elbow that misses. Minonzio uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mcdonald's guard. Nice move by Minonzio!
Mcdonald lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Minonzio!
Minonzio is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Donk. Mcdonald catches Minonzio right on the button with a cross.
Mcdonald lands the left hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mcdonald, as that shot connected.
Mcdonald slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Mcdonald circles away from the clinch attempt.

Minonzio tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mcdonald swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Mcdonald sizes up Minonzio with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Mcdonald rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Minonzio moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A lazy left from Mcdonald finds it's target.
Minonzio stuffs the takedown attempt from Mcdonald. Mcdonald gets slowly back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Minonzio enables Mcdonald to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Minonzio manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Mcdonald's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jollibee Mcdonald was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Mcdonald fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mcdonald lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Minonzio's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Mcdonald fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Minonzio sprawls well initially but Mcdonald persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Mcdonald is working for a submission of some sort.
Mcdonald lands with a punch from half guard.
Mcdonald takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Mcdonald misses with a head shot. Minonzio uses the momentum to regain guard.

Mcdonald distracts Minonzio with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Minonzio keeping moving, preventing Mcdonald from controlling successfully.
Mcdonald has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mcdonald is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Mcdonald must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mcdonald won't allow Minonzio to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mcdonald decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Minonzio has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mcdonald finds it's way round the side to connect with Minonzio's head.

Mcdonald fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Minonzio on the side of the head.

Minonzio gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mcdonald.

Matteo Minonzio is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Mcdonald fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Minonzio to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Minonzio looks to clinch but Mcdonald throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Minonzio taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
