Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Trang Troc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Areeno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Troc's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Like a Surgeon. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trang Troc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Areeno!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Areeno fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Troc blocks a head kick by Areeno.
Nice uppercut there from Areeno.
Areeno takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Areeno throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Troc moves in looking to clinch but Areeno pushes him off.
Troc feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Areenos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Troc bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Areeno's head backwards.
Troc scores with a jab to the body.
Troc misses with a straight right.
Areeno shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Troc as he avoids it easily.

Areeno lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Troc rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Areeno moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Troc tries to bum rush Areeno with a series of wild strikes but Areeno uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Troc slips a jab from Areeno.
Troc throws a low kick but Areeno avoids it.
Troc misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Areeno.
Areeno scores with a head kick. Troc tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Troc swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Areeno shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Troc pinned against the cage. Troc gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Trang Troc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Areeno.

Areeno lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Areeno stalks Troc and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Troc's face. Troc staggers backwards, shaken.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Areeno has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Areeno fails to land the takedown.
Troc throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Areeno counters with a shoot takedown. Troc fights it but they end up in guard.
Areeno is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Troc is controlling Areeno's posture.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Areeno sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Troc's guard.
Areeno is trying to control. Troc wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Areeno tries to pass the half guard into mount. Troc knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Areeno is trying to control the action in half guard but Troc is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Areeno not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Areeno seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Troc does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Areeno missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Areeno throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Areeno throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Troc avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Areeno.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Troc is trying to maintain the position but Areeno is very close to passing his half guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

No luck for Areeno with that takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Areeno is defended easily by Troc.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Troc lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Areeno has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Areeno and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The fight stays on the outside here - Troc looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Areeno is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Troc.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A slow jab from Troc misses its intended target.
Areeno connects with an inside leg kick.
Areeno slips a straight right by Troc.
Troc fails in his attempt to clinch.
A nice inside leg kick there by Troc. That's going to slow Areeno down.
Areeno keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Areeno throws a head kick that Troc semi-blocks.
Areeno swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Troc counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Troc tries to close the distance and clinch up but Areeno swats him away and circles back towards the center.

No joy there for Areeno, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Trang Troc is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice uppercut lands for Troc. That snapped Areeno's head back.
Areeno cracks Troc with an open hand slap.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Troc misses with a looping left.
Areeno misses with a head kick.

Troc tries to sprawl but Areeno drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Areeno is breathing heavily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Troc has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Areeno is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Areeno wants to control but Troc is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Trang Troc will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Areeno dives in and scores a takedown into Troc's guard.
Areeno stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Troc swivels though and keeps the full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Steve Areeno.
I think Areeno has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
