PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jasiek Petyta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morrison has chosen In da Building - Plies as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jasiek Petyta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petyta tries for a takedown but Morrison sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Petyta fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Morrison to the ground. Petyta is now in Morrison's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Petyta drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Petyta jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Petyta drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Morrison manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Petyta has Morrison in his guard.

Petyta isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Morrison stacks Petyta on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Morrison!

Petyta is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Morrison pulls his head out easily.

Morrison is trying to control the action in half guard but Petyta is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Petyta is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Morrison's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Morrison's back!

Petyta is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Morrison has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Petyta working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Morrison doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Morrison manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Petyta had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Morrison defends it easily.
Morrison wants to control from the top but Petyta keeps moving.
Morrison tries to stand but Petyta is controlling from the bottom.
Morrison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Petyta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Morrison is sitting in close to Petyta's body. Petyta has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Morrison is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Morrison is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Petyta.
