Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Lizardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lizardo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Silva lands a nice short elbow.

Silva stands up and beckons Lizardo to join him on the feet.
Lizardo shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.

Silva turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Silva manages to end up in side control.
Lizardo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.

Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lizardo's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lizardo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Silva decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Lizardo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Silva did well to prevent Lizardo getting side control.

Silva has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Lizardo doesn't defend quickly enough and Silva has managed to lock this one up! Can Lizardo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Silva on a fantastic submission victory.

In his post fight interview, Frank Silva started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
