Desantis dodges the punch combination from Liddell.
Liddell moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Desantis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
An inside leg kick lands from Liddell.
Liddell lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice sprawl there from Liddell as Desantis shoots in.
Desantis fails with the takedown

and Liddell counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Desantis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Desantis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Desantis jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Liddell manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Liddell controls the position for a moment.

Desantis is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Liddell looks calm but he's in trouble here. Desantis gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Liddell is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Desantis lets go of the hold and Liddell can pop his arm back in it's socket.
