Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eric Stone! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone scores with a jab. St Pierre loads up on a big right hand but Stone slips the punch. Nice uppercut lands for St Pierre. That snapped Stone's head back.
St Pierre manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stone on his heels. He'll look to pass Stone's guard now, I'm sure. Stone looking for a sweep. Not yet Stone, not yet. St Pierre throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stone works some decent striking defense from the bottom. St Pierre wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving. St Pierre throwing strikes but missing. St Pierre is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. St Pierre has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. St Pierre postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. St Pierre is looking to work some ground and pound but Stone has wrist control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. St Pierre passes Stone's right leg, so he's now in half guard. St Pierre trying to pass the guard but Stone defending well. That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Stone is trying to get back to full guard. Stone taking some punishment here, with St Pierre in his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. St Pierre stops Stone from getting back to his feet.
St Pierre looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stone with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. St Pierre slips a nice elbow through Stone's hands, connecting with Stone's forehead.
Stone is rocked! St Pierre content to control rather than advance. Stone is still in real trouble! Can St Pierre finish him? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. St Pierre lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. St Pierre is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Stone seems to have recovered his senses. St Pierre is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stone is just riding it out for now. St Pierre eventually gives up the hold. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stone can do anything to dispel that myth. St Pierre is taking a breather. Stone says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. St Pierre thows a huge punch but Stone dodges it nicely.
