Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuri Boyka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Piugnu Kopo!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Boyka looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Boyka has good solid back control here.
Boyka's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kopo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Kopo is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Boyka has hold of Kopo's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kopo manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

You get the feeling that Kopo really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Boyka will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kopo slaps away a takedown attempt from Boyka, before circling back to the center of the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kopo has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Boyka off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Piugnu Kopo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
