The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Matthews. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Matthews.
It looks like Randsome Gracie has been cut.
Matthews throws out a powerful jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A jab-cross combination lands for Matthews and sends Gracie crashing to the mat! Matthews follows him down to the mat - Gracie regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Gracie is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Matthews throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Gracie is still in real trouble! Can Matthews finish him?
Matthews lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Matthews scores with a big shot! Gracie's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Gracie! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
