Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Legus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Curtis Boutlier!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Legus throws a nice looking combination but Boutlier bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Boutlier misses with the combination.
Boutlier should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Boutlier is looking to clinch but Legus is avoiding it.

Legus decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Legus trying to control the pace.
Boutlier moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Legus is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Boutlier has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andrew Legus.

Legus bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Legus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Legus swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Boutlier is now in Legus's guard. A big mistake from Legus there, giving up the dominant position!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Legus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boutlier gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
