PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mack Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Campana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Speed might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Disturbed / Down With The Sickness. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dean Campana!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Campana. Beautiful body shot.
Speed pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A low kick from Campana is predictable there
and Speed counters with a big head kick but Campana shrugs it off.
Speed looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Speed lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Campana has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Campana and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Campana tries to score with a low kick but Speed moves his leg out of the way.
Speed tries to land a front kick but Campana steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Speed takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Speed lands a leg kick that knocks Campana off balance momentarily.

Campana connects with a good right hand that stumbles Speed. Speed circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Campana throws a head kick but Speed moves out of range.
Campana dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Speed. That did some damage!
Speed wants to slow Campana down by chopping away at his legs.
Campana jabs Speed right on the nose. Speed blinks but takes it well.
Campana throws a lazy uppercut
and Speed counters with a big head kick but Campana shrugs it off.
Campana tries a low kick but Speed avoids it.
Speed cracks Campana with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Campana throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Campana tries to move into range but Speed moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Speed dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Campana. That did some damage!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Speed buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Campana lands with a nice body punch.
Crunch! Speed slams his shin into Campana's torso.

Campana throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Speed really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Speed thumps Campana with a low kick.
Campana lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Mack Speed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Speed stuns Campana with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Campana shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Speed sprawls well. Speed wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Campana gets slowly back to his feet.
Mack Speed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Campana throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice shot lands for Speed.
Speed fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Campana.

Whack! Speed lands a heavy head kick that drops Campana. The ref tackles Speed to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Campana was done.
