Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mezger throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease.
Mezger checks a leg kick.
Smith throws a low kick, looking for Mezger's leg but Mezger calmly moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Mezger which made him look bad.
Smith moves into the clinch successfully.
Smith gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like John Mezger has been cut.
A short right from Smith on the inside.
Still in the clinch, Smith scores with a nice short uppercut.

Mezger wants to break the clinch but can't.

Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mezger is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Mezger circles away and we're back to standing.

Smith controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Mezger looking for a guillotine here but Smith defends easily.
Smith wants to stand but Mezger has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Mezger is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith is looking to stand up but Mezger won't let him.
Smith controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mezger. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smith would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Smith throws a leg kick but Mezger sees it coming and moves out of range.
Smith tries for a takedown but Mezger sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mezger tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mezger shoots in looking for a takedown. Smith tries to sprawl out of it but Mezger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smith manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Mezger moves out of range easily.
Smith closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Smith lands a damaging elbow.
Mezger wants to stall.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Smith controlling the action here for a moment.

Mezger takes an elbow to the temple.
Mezger is rocked!
Smith unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Mezger! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Smith is unloading with more strikes now! Mezger drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
