Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kano Shinomori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Shinomori scores with a leg kick.

Johnson successfully pulls guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Shinomori seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Johnson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Shinomori tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard.
Shinomori wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.

Shinomori sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Johnson's guard.

Johnson tries to get to full guard but Shinomori has control of the leg.

Johnson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Shinomori scores with a couple of nice shots.

Johnson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Shinomori is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Johnson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Johnson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Shinomori lands a leg kick that knocks Johnson off balance momentarily.
A clash of legs there as Johnson blocks the low kick.

Johnson clinches up against the cage.
Johnson throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Johnson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Shinomori is defending well for now.
Shinomori is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shinomori down to the mat. Shinomori avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Shinomori pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Johnson back to the cage. Shinomori follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Adam Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Shinomori is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Shinomori throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.
Shinomori lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Shinomori.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shinomori tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance.
Johnson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kano Shinomori has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Johnson.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Shinomori lands with a nice combination. Johnson backs away looking to recover.
Shinomori tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Shinomori lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Johnson backs up against the cage.

Johnson is rocked!
Shinomori throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Johnson stumbling backwards into the cage! Johnson bounces back off the cage towards Shinomori, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Shinomori lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Shinomori celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kano Shinomori!
In his post fight interview, Kano Shinomori started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
