The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takada misses with a body shot.
Boxlund with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Takada throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Takada feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Boxlund's calf.
Takada throws an overhand right that lands on Boxlund's shoulder, as Boxlund tries to avoid the shot.
Boxlund lands with a shot to the body.
Takada misses with the combination.
Takada is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boxlund sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Takada fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Boxlund takes one to the side of the head.
Takada misses with a low kick.
Takada throws a series of punches but Boxlund moves out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Takada thows a left - swing and a miss!
Takada takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Boxlund lands a jab to the head.
Takada is rocked!
Takada lands with a kick to the temple. Boxlund shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Takada is still on wobbly legs! Can Boxlund finish him?
Boxlund steps in with a hook that catches Takada right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Boxlund follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Takada looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Blixt Boxlund!
