Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Jaffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaleb Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaffer comes to the cage accompanied by DubRaider- Starry Eyes. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Jaffer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaleb Carter!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaffer misses the shot to the body.

Jaffer is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee warns Carter that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jaffer goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Carter shoots in for a double leg but Jaffer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jaffer fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Carter is out of range.

Carter drives through and clinches with Jaffer against the cage.
Jaffer drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carter pulls his leg out and moves away.
Carter doesn't manage to clinch there - Jaffer circles away.
Carter throws a body kick the misses
and Jaffer counters with a thumping low kick.
Kaleb Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jaffer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jaffer lands a nice looking kick to the body. Carter takes a step back to recover.

Jaffer looks to land a left hand but Carter moved out of range nicely.

Jaffer throws a poor cross that misses
and Carter counters with a head kick. That will keep Jaffer thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Jaffer throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Carter tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jaffer is in Carter's guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Jaffer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Jaffer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carter's guard.

Well, if Jaffer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Jaffer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Carter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jaffer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
