Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wilhelm Reich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Houses (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reich kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Wilhelm Reich in Hell. Wilhelm Reich has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wilhelm Reich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Houses! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Houses looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reich is fending him off so far but Houses persists. Nope, Reich circles away and we're back to standing. Houses fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Houses closes the distance and clinches up with Reich, looking for a takedown. Houses pushes Reich against the cage but Reich circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Wilhelm Reich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Houses. Houses has Reich up against the cage in a clinch.
Reich is trying to break free. Houses gets a trip takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Houses seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reich does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Reich might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Reich keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Reich is not content to let Houses control the position. Reich tries to roll over but Houses keeps him under control. Houses is thwarting Reich's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reich is staying active underneath Houses, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Dave Houses hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Reich fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Reich throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Houses tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Reich is in Houses's guard. Reich slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Houses wants to control but Reich passes easily into half guard.
Houses kicks Reich off and gets back to his feet. Houses leaves Reich with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Reich stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Reich wants it to stay on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Houses tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reich sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Houses somewhat. Houses scores with a takedown into Reich's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Houses trying to control the position from guard on top but Reich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Houses decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Reich, up you get! Reich looks for a takedown but Houses sprawls well. Reich throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Houses was covering up waiting for the punch and Reich finishes the takedown easily into guard. Reich looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Houses keeping full guard, as Reich tries to pass. Reich trying to control but Houses is working from the bottom. Reich controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Reich postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Wilhelm Reich wasn't doing enough on the ground. Reich shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Houses sprawls well. Houses wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Reich gets slowly back to his feet. Reich feints and as Houses raises his hands in defense, Reich changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Reich prevents Houses from getting back to his feet. Houses looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Houses keeping full guard, as Reich tries to pass. Reich slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Reich passes Houses's right leg, so he's now in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Wilhelm Reich will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Houses lands a high kick!
Houses looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Reich! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Houses cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Dave Houses has got the better of the ground game so far. Houses wants to control the pace but Reich is squirming around nicely. Reich regains half guard. Houses drops an elbow to the side of Reich's head. Houses is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reich doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Houses. Reich has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Houses is working away from the top position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reich manages to get to full guard.
Houses trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Reich manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Reich trying to control but Houses is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reich pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Houses is keeping the position for now. Reich slips nicely into half guard. Reich wants to take a breather but Houses is having none of it. Houses wants to get back to full guard. Houses pushes Reich off and gets back to his feet. Reich with a poor takedown and Houses decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reich's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Reich seems keen to control Houses's posture. Houses tries to free his leg and advance position but Reich is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Houses wants to stand but Reich has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Reich wants to sweep but no luck. Reich keeping moving, preventing Houses from controlling successfully. Houses looking to sit in guard and control but Reich gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Reich controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Reich got a little sloppy there for a moment and Houses has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reich has managed to get both his arms back between Houses's legs - danger averted. Reich is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reich passes into half guard. Reich with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Houses wants to get back to his feet. Reich stalling. Houses wants to control but Reich is keeping busy and won't allow it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Houses wants to improve his position but Reich is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Houses showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Houses looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Reich pushing down on Houses's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Reich performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Houses is trying to get back to full guard. Reich seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Houses wants to improve his position but Reich is controlling well.
Dave Houses has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Houses tries to close the distance and clinch up but Reich swats him away and circles back towards the center. Houses is looking to clinch. Houses goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Houses darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Houses takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Houses wants to control but Reich is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reich is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Reich is looking for a sweep. Houses is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Houses wants to pass to mount but Reich is defending the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Reich is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A punch combination from Houses misses. Houses misses with a left hand and Reich counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Reich. Houses keeping full guard, as Reich tries to pass. Houses working a defensive guard here.
Houses is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Houses is taking a breather. Reich says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dave Houses. Well Houses has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
