Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hezekiah Munson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Budo Rei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Munson comes to the cage accompanied by Showdown. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hezekiah Munson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Budo Rei!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rei throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Munson moves out of range as Rei throws a body kick.
Munson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
An inside leg kick lands from Rei.
Munson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rei manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Munson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rei tries to avoid it but Munson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rei to the ground. Rei escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Munson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Rei misses with a body shot.
Rei throws a body punch but Munson moves out of range.
Rei blocks a low kick nicely.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Rei. Munson shrugs it off though.

and Munson counters with a slapping leg kick.
Munson tries for a takedown but Rei sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rei uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Rei throws a nice looking combination but Munson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Munson lands a nice looking body kick.
Rei tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Munson throws a leg kick which misses Rei's front leg but catches the back leg as Rei tries to avoid it.
Munson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Munson shoots for a takedown but Rei saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hezekiah Munson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rei looks to score with a jab to the body but Munson is just out of range.
Munson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rei's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Budo Rei hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Munson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rei.

It looks like Budo Rei has been cut.
Rei looks to score with a jab to the body but Munson is just out of range.
Rei is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Munson.
Rei blocks a low kick nicely.
Budo Rei is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rei connects with a leg kick. Munson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Munson is defended easily by Rei.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rei throws a series of punches but Munson avoids them all with ease.

That was a close round but I would say that Hezekiah Munson will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Munson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Rei swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Rei throws a low kick but it's checked well by Munson.
Munson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rei tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Budo Rei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rei throws a looping overhand right but Munson ducks down to avoid it.
Budo Rei seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Rei lands with a thumping leg kick.

Rei cracks Munson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Rei lands a leg kick that knocks Munson off balance momentarily.
Munson throws a low kick, looking for Rei's leg but Rei calmly moves out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Munson.
Rei stuffs the takedown.

and Munson counters with an outside leg kick.
Munson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Some bone on bone action there as Munson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Rei fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Rei scores with a jab. Munson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Rei misses with a low kick as Munson jumps back.
Munson misses with a leg kick.
Rei fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Munson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Munson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Munson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Munson misses with a low kick as Rei jumps back.

A good leg kick by Rei.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rei fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rei checks a leg kick.

Munson throws a leg kick that is checked
and Rei counters with a leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Budo Rei showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Munson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Rei wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Munson looks for the body kick but Rei saw that one coming.
Munson is looking to chop away at Rei's legs.
A bone on bone clash there as Rei blocks the leg kick.
Rei throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Rei scores with a hook to the body. Munson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Rei lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rei throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Munson on the side of the head.

Rei punishes Munson's body with a nice straight punch.
Nice body punch from Rei.
Rei feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Munson's calf.
Rei fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Munson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rei throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rei lands with a nice body punch.

A shot to the liver by Rei. Beautiful body shot.
Rei lands a big right hand that sends Munson crashing to the mat! Rei stays standing though and waves Munson back to his feet!

Rei scores with a shot to the body.
Oh Munson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Munson takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rei cracks Munson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Munson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Rei pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Munson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Budo Rei!
Budo Rei gave a mention to Adam's NORTHERN WILD $10 Sale in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
