Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Scott Sylva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Tessier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sylva might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bulletproof. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sylva turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A solid body kick from Sylva.
Tessier keeps the fight on the outside.
Tessier will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tessier tries to move into range but Sylva moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Sylva clinches up with Tessier and pushes him back against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sylva.

Tessier wants to break free but Sylva has control.
Sylva is defending well against a takedown attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sylva tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Tessier ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tessier no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Tessier has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sylva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sylva not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Tessier has his foot on Sylva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sylva works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sylva stands and throws Tessier's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Tessier sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Sylva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tessier on the ground.
Tessier wants to improve his position but Sylva is controlling well.
Tessier is trying to control but Sylva passes into side control!
Sylva wants to control but Tessier is keeping him busy.
Sylva works to advance to full mount. Tessier defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Tessier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sylva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tessier is trying to control the position but Sylva postures up.
Sylva wants to stand but Tessier has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

We're going to have a standup here because Scott Sylva wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Scott Sylva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sylva fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Tessier takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sylva takes a swing at Tessier's ribcage but misses.
Tessier's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sylva connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tessier scrambles back to his feet.
Scott Sylva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tessier dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tessier misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sylva.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Scott Sylva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cole Tessier.
Sylva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sylva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tessier.
Sylva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tessier.

Sylva lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Tessier is still on wobbly legs! Can Sylva finish him?
Sylva lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Tessier falls backwards - clearly groggy! Sylva dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
