The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cullen connects with an inside leg kick.
Ward looks to land a left hand but Cullen moved out of range nicely.
Ward moves into the clinch.

Cullen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wards head.

Ward tries to circle away but Cullen has him pinned against the cage.

It looks like Mickey Ward has been cut.
Cullen lands an elbow that stopped Ward in his tracks for a moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cullen has Ward pressed against the cage. He pushes Ward back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Cullen throws a beautiful elbow that sends Ward crashing to the floor! Cullen piles on the pressure with more strikes! Ward is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
