Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Waldemar Kasta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Uvarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uvarov has chosen Вася Обломо as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Waldemar Kasta has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Waldemar Kasta seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alex Uvarov!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Uvarov shoots in and gets a takedown into Kasta's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Uvarov is looking to work some ground and pound but Kasta has wrist control.
Kasta has control of Uvarov's left arm, preventing Uvarov from doing any damage.
Uvarov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Kasta has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Uvarov off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Uvarov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kasta is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Kasta has one foot on Uvarov's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Uvarov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Uvarov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kasta is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Uvarov goes for an armbar but Kasta turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kasta.

Uvarov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kasta defends it easily.

Uvarov wants to stand up but Kasta is controlling him.

Kasta drops back looking for a leg! Uvarov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Uvarov manages to kick Kasta off! Kasta jumps back into Uvarov's guard.

Kasta postures up in Uvarov's guard and throws a big left but Uvarov blocks it.

Uvarov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Alex Uvarov dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Nice takedown defense from Uvarov. No joy for Kasta on that attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kasta enables Uvarov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kasta manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Uvarov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kasta is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Uvarov is controlling him.
Kasta has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kasta looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kasta wants to clinch up but Uvarov keeps it at a distance.

Uvarov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Uvarov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kasta is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kasta has escaped and now he's on top!

Uvarov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Uvarov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Kasta escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Uvarov stuffs the takedown attempt from Kasta. Kasta gets slowly back to his feet.

Uvarov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Uvarov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Waldemar Kasta has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Uvarov gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kasta breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Uvarov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I would just about give that final round to Alex Uvarov.
Well Uvarov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
