PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evander Holyshit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry O Leary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holyshit's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Lil Wayne- I feel like dying. The crowd seem to be enjoying O Leary's choice of entrance music: one day like this. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evander Holyshit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Larry O Leary!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Leary throws a series of punches but Holyshit moves out of range.
Holyshit connects with a crisp jab.
O Leary closes the distance and clinches up with Holyshit, looking for a takedown. O Leary pushes Holyshit against the cage but Holyshit circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Holyshit attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Holyshit looks to land a right hand but O Leary moved out of range.
O Leary throws the left hand but Holyshit avoids the punch easily.
O Leary rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Holyshit counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Holyshit misses with a straight right.
Holyshit lands a nice hook to O Leary's body. O Leary takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
O Leary throws a right hand that Holyshit ducks under and follows up with a left that Holyshit also avoids with ease.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! O Leary crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Holyshit - the referee stops the clock and O Leary gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Holyshit. O Leary manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
O Leary looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Holyshit defending well as O Leary loads up on a big left hand.

Evander Holyshit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry O Leary.

Holyshit drops O Leary with a beautiful combination! O Leary stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Holyshit is looking for the KO!

It looks like Larry O Leary has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Holyshit pulls out of a head kick attempt.
O Leary has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Holyshit.
O Leary closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
O Leary is trying desperately to land a takedown but Holyshit is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for O Leary.
O Leary gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! O Leary tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Holyshit is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and O Leary buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves O Leary!! O Leary is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Holyshit throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Evander Holyshit!
