The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takada blocks a head kick by Andronicus.
Takada tries to clinch but Andronicus moves out of range.
Takada throws a shot to the body.
Takada fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Andronicus avoids it really well and circles away.
Andronicus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Takada tries to close the distance and clinch but Andronicus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Andronicus circles away from the clinch attempt.
Andronicus throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Andronicus!
It looks like Nobuhiko Takada has been cut.
Takada is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Takada fails with a takedown attempt.
Andronicus scores with a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Andronicus drops Takada with a beautiful combination! Takada stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Andronicus is looking for the KO!
Takada is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Andronicus closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Takada out cold! Takada corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
