Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Winslow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Return of the Mack . I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matthew George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shane Winslow!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Winslow as he checks the leg kick.

George lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Winslow tries to clinch there but George circles away.
George feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Winslows jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
George lands a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
George scores with a jab.

George has Winslow up against the cage in a clinch.
George is looking for a takedown.
Winslow drops down looking for an ankle pick but George pulls his leg out and moves away.
George changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Winslow looks gassed!

George is trying to drag Winslow to the mat but Winslow just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

George wants to take the fight to the mat but Winslow manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Winslow is pressed up against the cage. George has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Winslow down to the mat. Winslow avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Winslow takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
George wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
George moves into range and connects with a jab.
George lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

George lands with an uppercut that bounces Winslow off the cage and back into range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

George takes the fight into the clinch.

George has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Winslow regains guard immediately.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
George prevents Winslow from getting back to his feet.

Winslow wants to sweep but no luck.

Matthew George has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
George throws a leg kick but Winslow moved away.
George finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
George is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
George scores with a jab to the jaw.
Winslow dives in and grabs George's left leg, looking for a takedown. George pushes down on Winslow's head and hops out.
George tries to land a leg kick but Winslow saw it coming and moves away.

George closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

George wants the takedown. Winslow is fighting it off but George persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Winslow's guard against the cage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

George would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Winslow is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Winslow looking to control but George passes into half guard.

Winslow wants to control but George is keeping busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Shane Winslow.
George connects with a looping right hand.

George instigates a clinch.
George is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
George has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Winslow avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
George wants to take the fight to the mat but Winslow manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Winslow throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but George blocks it with crossed arms.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Winslow ducks right into an uppercut from George.
Winslow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but George paws at him with a jab and circles away.
George jabs Winslow to the body, keeping him at a distance.
George scores with the left hand. Winslow knows he should have avoided that one.

Winslow on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
George is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Winslow can do to turn this around?
Winslow drops his hands momentarily and George takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
George lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
George tests Winslow's chin there with a solid looking shot.
George dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Winslow. That did some damage!
George jabs Winslow to the body, keeping him at a distance.
George lands with a straight right. Winslow didn't see that one coming.
George scores with a decent looking hook.
Winslow takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

George clinches up with Winslow and pushes him back against the cage.
George goes for a takedown attempt but Winslow pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Winslow moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Winslow takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Winslow throws a right and a left that George avoids nicely.
Winslow on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Winslow walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Matthew George is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
George feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Winslows jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Shane Winslow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
George connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Shane Winslow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

George darts in and clinches Winslow up against the cage.

George is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Winslow can't fight it off and eventually George manages to take the fight to the floor. Winslow looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The crowd cheers as George lands an impressive looking overhand right. Winslow doesn't seem phased though.

George has picked Winslow up - he's going for a ride! George dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

George thuds a left hand into Winslow's body.
George connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Winslow takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

George turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and George manages to end up in side control.

Well George has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Matthew George took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'I admit when I'm wrong, I didn't take my fights seriously enough and got beat it wont happen again. I want a title shot and I want it now both of these guys cant handled The Muss when he's mad and now I'm mad. SO whats the time Mr. Woo woo woo!'.
