The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira fails to land the takedown.

Nogueira rushes Williams and presses him up against the cage.
Williams lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Williams lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Nogueira or not.

Williams throws a punch but it's blocked by Nogueira.
Nogueira tries for a takedown but Williams manages to get underhooks.

Williams swings wildly with an uppercut but Nogueira uses good head movement to avoid it.

Williams can't find room to land a body shot as Nogueira controls the action.

Williams's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Nogueira has his takedown stuffed

and Williams counters with a head kick that drops Nogueira to the mat! Nogueira scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Nogueira is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nogueira is defended easily by Williams.
Nogueira is still on wobbly legs! Can Williams finish him?

and Williams counters with a low kick, right behind Nogueira 's knee.

Williams lands a big right hand that sends Nogueira crashing to the mat! Williams stays standing though and waves Nogueira back to his feet!
Williams jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Williams fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nogueira has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
BOOM! Williams lands a beautiful left hook that drops Nogueira. Nogueira tries to recover but Williams is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Nogueira lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
